This position is responsible for the coordination of the reporting, tracking and accounting processes for the Division’s capital works program. The position also assists with the annual capital budget submission and other key accounting processes.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Coordinate the Division’s monthly capital reporting requirements for major and non-major projects.
- Coordinate the Division’s annual capital bids process and submission.
- Track ongoing changes to the annual capital plan as approved by University committees.
- Coordinate the monthly and end of year closing accounting processes for Divisional capital works.
- Liaise with Divisional project managers to ensure effective management of project finances and reporting.
Typical Duties:
- Liaise with Divisional staff and project managers to gather information for the Division’s monthly capital reporting requirements, verify expenditure and future cash flow against budget and disseminate information to other University Divisions.
- In consultation with the Finance Manager, coordinate the Division’s annual capital bids process and ensure the bids are submitted according to the timetable in the correct formats.
- Process monthly and ongoing accounting adjustments to ensure the integrity of the data contained in the University’s ledger.
- Provide advice and information to Divisional and University staff on the Division’s capital program.
- Coordinate and perform the tasks required for the annual end of financial year processes for the Division’s capital program.
- Provide assistance to the Finance Manager and Finance Team as requested.
