Occupational Health and Safety Advisor

 



 Temporary Full Time Position

Up to 12 months Maternity Leave replacement
$62,606 - $67,831 plus 9% Super & 1 RDO per month
 
The Risk Management team seeks a motivated, career-minded professional to coordinate the Council’s safety systems, provide specialist advice and act as a resource in support of OH&S and organisational development projects. This position is ideal for someone who is seeking to further develop their career within the OH&S field or for an individual aspiring ????? ????? into safety.
 
As Council’s OHS Advisor you will support the organisation to:
  • Identify and analyse OH&S risks
  • Develop and coordinate OH&S projects
  • Facilitate safety consultation and communication via the OH&S committees
  • Implement and monitor Council’s 5 Year OH&S Plan
  • Provide specialist OH&S advice across the organisation
  • Identify, develop and deliver safety related training programs 
The successful applicant will preferably possess a tertiary qualification in OH&S and/or substantial relevant experience. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement programs, policies, procedures and guidelines; highly developed interpersonal and presentation skills; and the ability to liaise, build effective relationships and consult with all Council staff and external service providers are key to your success in the vital role.
