Service Technician

Significant growth opportunities in the North Queensland market have driven the need for an experienced Service Technician to join the Visy Fibre team. Based in Tully this position will also cover sites from Innisfail and Mareeba through to Bowen. This role will be responsible for implementing continuous improvement strategies across a range of services for numerous regional sites. The key responsibilities for this role will be and not limited to;
- Minimise machine breakdowns via efficient machine servicing
- Coordinate, communicate and manage service contractors
- Proactively work to implement improved and efficient services processes
- Develop a comprehensive preventative maintenance program for all machinery in the North Queensland region
- Manage, record and present a monthly report on machine status and maintenance costs, inc parts etc
- Communicate any potential issues which have the capacity to affect DIFOT to relevant parties
- Ensure the machines and machine operating procedures are in compliance with legislative and company policies

This position will be ideal for an innovative and professional individual with prior experience maintaining and troubleshooting packaging machinery. Trade qualifications as a fitter and turner, electrician or equivalent trade will be necessary as you will need to be able to walk in this role and make it your own from day one. Your ability to familiarise yourself with the sites and machinery quickly, your ability to manage your time, sense of urgency and attention to detail will contribute to your success in this role.
