Diesel Fitters/Field Service Technicians

QLD & Perth based positions - Company paid airfares & accommodation

Commencing at $32 p/h during trial/training period

Our client a major player in MINING sector, with their Head Office based in Perth and other branches in Queensland and Northern Territory. They are currently seeking 5 Qualified Diesel Fitters with background in heavy CAT, Komatsuto and Liebherr to work on Mining equipment.
This position will be initially based in Queensland workshop, where you will be put through skills based evaluation and receive relevant training, and then posted on site. The following responsibilities will include:
Servicing and maintaining key machinery
High-level trouble shooting and diagnostics
Optimising the service life and value of our equipment assets.
Ideally, you will have had previous experience in a similar role with at least 2 years' trade experience, particularly with hydraulic excavators and preferably in an advanced capacity. Candidates, who have solid working experience on Caterpillar, Komatsu or Liebherr heavy earth moving machinery, in a mining environment, will be highly regarded, however, EXPERIENCE IN MINING SECTOR IS NOT NECESSARY. Familiarity with auto electrics and hydraulics, as well as Drill Rig Fitting experience is also desirable. The successful candidates will need to be reliable with a strong work ethic with the ability to work unsupervised and in a team environment. Availability for overtime when required will also be necessary.
