An internationally recognised listed Oil & Gas developer with full scope of operations across Upstream, Downstream, Refinery & Liquefaction is seeking to appoint an experience drilling engineer with a background in well design within their Cairns based head office.  Holding assets throughout every stage from exploration to retail, along with an exploration asset portfolio that is one of the largest held by a single company comprising of approximately 9 million acres and four discovery's this organisation is well positioned for future growth.
 
Working with an international team of experts, your responsibilities will be focused on exploration drilling design and engineering.  You will be predominately based in Cairns head office, but will be required to travel to site in PNG to oversee operational drilling crews to ensure that exploration activities are being executed to specification.
 
You will possess:
 

• Advanced experience in exploration drilling
• Well design experience
• Degree qualification in petroleum, mechanical engineering or petroleum geology
• Experience in drill casing string design & developing directional drilling plans
• Cost estimate analysis experience

 
You will report into the senior drilling engineer based in Cairns, be a self starter and someone looking for the opportunity to live in a tropical far north Queensland location and achieve a market leading remuneration package.  Generous relocation packages are available.
