Our Company has been awarded a contract to design and construct a new purpose built recycled water treatment plant at a greenfield site located in Fairfield NSW.
We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic Site Manager to be responsible for the following:
- Represent the company in dealings with the client, the superintendent, partners, suppliers and subcontractors for all matters concerning the works phase.
- Manage all phases of site works including; civil and building construction, mechanical installation, equipment assembly, electrical & instrumentation installation, to ensure Program and Budget are maintained.
- Represent the company on site in regards to industrial relations, health and safety, respect for the environment, compliance with quality standards etc.
- Ensure compliance with the company’s contractual obligations for site activities under the Contract.
- Ensure that the works progress according to program and take all necessary action in the event of any delay.
- Regularly coordinate with the Principal’s representatives in relation to interface work and their specific requirements;
- Coordinate regular subcontractor meetings to ensure work schedules are maintained, deadlines are met, and construction costs are optimised.
- Review progress claims and variations, and report to the Project Manager.
The ideal candidate has the following experience and skills:
- Previous site installation experience in a highly industrialised environment
- Extensive site management expertise
- Experience in mechanical and electrical supervision
- Some exposure to civil works
- Good team spirit and communication skills essential
- Knowledge of water treatment processes is highly regarded
