Macquarie People are a local Accounting Recruitment firm that has been servicing the Gold Coast and Brisbane for over ten years.
This long established and stable suburban CPA practice situated bayside Brisbane in the Cleveland area requires an experienced accountant to help the partner manage the work flow of the practice.
The firm has approximately 10 staff and a great client mix. The volume of work is such that the partner requires a person with strong organisational and people skills to act in a 2IC capacity, assisting with the overall management of the business.
A partnership opportunity may exist for the right person if this is one of your goals.
You will be responsible for overseeing work flow, reviewing of files and quality control, as well as "hands on" work as required. Mentoring, supervision and training of staff will also be involved. The firm is proud of the standards they seek to adhere to and strong technical knowledge is required to ensure this is continued. Good knowledge of SMSF will be viewed favourably.
Extensive contact will the firm’s top clients is envisaged and ideally you will have the ability to develop sound working relationships as well as having strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Whilst it is a relatively senior position, the responsibilities are not particularly onerous and the partner will support and assist you to make your move a success.
Requirements
- Accounting degree qualified
- CA/CPA completed (or near to)
- At least 6 years experience in Australian Public Practice accounting
- Previous supervision experience will be viewed very favourably.
- Sound organisational and people skills
