St Vincent’s Community Mental Health Service
Permanent Full Time Position

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Registered Nurses, Social Workers, Registered Psychologists and Occupational Therapists to work in the St Vincent’s Community Mental Health Service. The position involves triage, assessment and coordination of services to people experiencing a broad range of mental health issues.

Essential: 

  • Either current NSW Nurses and Midwives Registration Board “Authority to Practice” List A; or Bachelor of Social Work from a recognised University and eligible for membership of Australian Association of Social Workers; or formal qualification in Psychology, full registration with the NSW Psychologists Registration Board and a current “Authority to Practice” with the NSW Psychologists Registration Board; or a formal qualification in Occupational Therapy and eligible for AAOT Membership.
  • Experience working in community mental health services.
  • Maintains a professional standard of conduct which reflects the mission and values of the Sisters of Charity.
  • Current, unrestricted, NSW driver’s licence or equivalent Australian State or Territory, until such time that a NSW driver’s licence is legally required.
  • Commitment to consumer consultation, and participation in service delivery.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to mental health promotion.
  • Immunisation history complies with NSW Health Directive 2007_006.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with contemporary service delivery models.
  • Knowledge of Quality Improvement activities.
  • Computer literacy skills.
  • Familiarity with Recovery philosophy.

Hours: rotating roster and after hours on call.

Salary: per relevant award.
