0.6 FTE position for one year in the first instance,
with prospects for a second year.

The newly formed Urban Mental Health Research Institute aims to play an important and strategic role in mental health services research in the inner city/urban environment. This includes projects and programs across the St Vincent’s Mental Health Service and other services on the campus and associated NGOs. The Director and Research Committee will be responsible for oversight of researching and evaluating a number of new and existing programs as well as looking for new opportunities. The focus will be on showcasing innovative solutions with a strong focus on evidence based practice, research and evaluation.

Mental health professionals with a background in clinical research, especially mental health services research are invited to apply.

The appointee will be responsible for managing research projects and be involved in scoping new projects.  This involves liaising with those involved in research, Divisions, ensuring ????? ????? and functionality of the research, responding to requests for education and support by the researchers and other stakeholder and scoping new research opportunities.

Essential Criteria: 

  • Degree in psychology or other health science profession.
  • Experience in clinical research and/or the incorporation of research and evaluation.
  • Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Mission and Values of the Sisters of Charity and St Vincent's Health Australia.
