The Department of Cardiology at St Vincent’s Public
Hospital is seeking a well-organised, forward thinking and
enthusiastic part-time (24 hours) medical secretary. The position
is an integral part of the Department with varied responsibilities.
The role requires the successful candidate to work 8 hour on
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday each week.
Duties: Providing secretarial support to the Cardiology
Department, including general correspondence, telephone enquiries,
patient bookings, report typing, etc.
Essential skills:
- Typing speed of 45-60wpm.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
- Experience with Dictaphone typing.
- Excellent organisation and oral communication skills.
- Ability to liaise with staff across the multi-disciplinary
team.
- Initiative and the ability to work unsupervised.
Desirable skills:
- Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred
The salary is in accordance with the relevant NSW award:
Administrative Office, Level 3.
