General Manager - Service Delivery

 



Spinal Cord Injuries Australia is a leading charity committed to ensuring ????? ????? for people with a spinal cord injury living within the community. We are passionate about continually improving our service offerings and driving innovation to provide maximum opportunity for those whose lives are affected by traumatic injury.

 
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, and with four direct reports, the primary role of the General Manager – Service Delivery is to achieve service excellence and pursue growth in the following activities:
 
  • Independent living programs -accommodation and community support
  • Employment services - open and supported
  • Intensive exercise recovery - Walk On
  • Geographic and data coding

You will be a skilled and experienced leader in either the commercial or community sector. You will be passionate about leading a diverse service delivery team to reach even greater heights, and using your business acumen and change management skills to lead transformational change and develop and deliver groundbreaking new programs and services for the benefit of people with high level physical disabilities.

Whilst previous experience in the areas of independent living, employment, exercise recovery or GIS would be advantageous, the person we are seeking is a creative and enthusiastic General Manager who can deliver against the organisation’s service excellence and strategic growth objectives, irrespective of their background.

Essential Criteria:

  • A skilled and professional leader and manager who is a highly energetic, achievement oriented person with exceptional leadership, communication, problem solving, negotiation, people and business management skills and acumen
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a diverse team of professionals in an organisation which has a strong sense of its vision and purpose, strives for excellence in delivering ????? ????? and programs, prides itself in its work and achievements, and encourages and rewards staff for their commitment
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and implementing business strategies to guide and influence the delivery of consistent, quality customer service outcomes
  • Ability to identify new business and service opportunities, and to work with others to bring ????? ????? fruition
  • Proven ability to relate to key stakeholders including the organisation’s members, government and private sector funding organisations, other service providers and partners
  • Ability to manage a variety of contractual and funding agreements
  • Previous experience in a similar role in either a commercial or not for profit setting
  • A desire to make a difference to the lives of people
  • An understanding of, or the ability to learn about, the circumstances and needs of people with a spinal cord injury or high level physical disabilities
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field
 Desirable Criteria:
 
  • Experience in the Community sector would be highly regarded, though not essential.
