This role is available in order for an individual to actively participate in the development of procedures, policies, guidelines and standards for the planning, implementation and monitoring ????? ????? management measures.   The incumbent will ensure the delivery of traffic services that meet customer needs and corporate customer service indicators and achieve the goals and objectives of relevant components of the Capital Works Program according to the adopted project time frames.

This council is in a key growth area in melbourne and has an unusual mix of developments, civil and major projects not usually seen in a municipality.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Undertake the assessment of Town Planning proposals with regard to traffic impact. 
• Undertake traffic investigations and prepare appropriate reports. 
• Respond to Council resolutions and public enquiries concerning traffic issues. 
• Arrange traffic studies and implement effective traffic strategies that meet established standards, within approved time and funding limitations. 

 

 To be considered for this role you must possess:

• Degree in Civil Engineering 
• Relevant (preferably public sector) experience 
• Be eligible for chartered status with Engineers Australia 
• Current Victorian drivers licence 
• Communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Knowledge of Australian traffic engineering ????? ????? engineering ????? ?????.
