The Enrolled Nurse is a second level nurse who works under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse and functions according to the ANC Competencies for Enrolled Nurses and the NSW Nurses Registration Board Code of Professional Conduct.
Nursing care is provided within the limits specified by education and the registering authority’s license to practice.
The Enrolled Nurse is skilled to provide care and comfort to patients in activities of daily living, meeting basic human needs and observing and reporting changes in condition or behaviour.
The Enrolled Nurse works within the guidelines of the Greater Southern Area Health Service’s Policies and By-laws.
