The Enforcement and Compliance Division bears primary responsibility for the investigation, compliance and enforcement activities carried out by the ACCC. The Division’s activities directly support the ACCC’s role in the promotion of competitive and informed markets and fair trading practices.
 
Salary:     $55,328 to $65,434 (plus 15.4% superannuation)
 
The occupant of this position will:

 
  • under supervision, investigate, research, analyse and evaluate possible contraventions of the Trade Practices Act 1974
  • prioritise issues, conduct interviews of complainants and others and advise the Commission about matters requiring ????? ?????
  • undertake research into specific industry sectors to assess competitive or consumer welfare effects of particular conduct.
Experience in or aptitude for investigation work is important. Appropriate tertiary qualifications are desirable; preferred disciplines are law and economics.
