A Petrochemical Works Supervisor is required by this national organisation dealing with facilities and asset management. This position is based in Darwin and is a permanent position, and would be a great opportunity to work for this national firm applying your knowledge in petrochemical, bulk fuels management, or related disciplines.

As the new Works Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

• Manage bulk fuels and other aspects of petrochemical management
• Reviewing work requests and assign work to appropriate subcontractors
• Supervising the execution of work undertaken by sub-contractors and technicians
• Assess and review sub-contractor performance
• Ensure safe working practices and Defence security/protocols are adhered to at all times
• Implement continuous incremental improvement to increase work quality, deliver efficiency and generate cost savings
• Other similar duties as required

To be successful in your application for the position, it is essential you possess relevant qualifications in a related field, as well as experience dealing with trades staff and subcontractors. Additionally, it is envisaged you possess the following skills and traits:

• Knowledge of petrochemical management and supervision
• Knowledge of Statutory requirements including Codes of Practice and Building Code of Australia
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Effective problem solving capacity
• Good computer skills
