The Environmental Superintendent is a leadership role; you will be reporting to the HSE Manager and will be responsible for overseeing Environmental management activities to ensure compliance with site, corporate and legislative requirements.
Your specific duties will include but will not be limited to:
- Management of a team of 4 environmental professionals
- Managing, implementing & developing continuous improvement initiatives for the EMP
- Engaging internal & external stakeholders to communicate environmental matters
- Assisting with the development of environmental staff
- Developing operational & capital budgets for environmental management
This role requires a highly motivated individual that has a passion for the environment and for assisting sustainability.
Qualifications, experience and skills required:
- Minimum 5 years experience in environmental management (mine site experience is essential)
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
- Previous experience in a senior position supervising staff
- Strong communication skills
