Exciting new and rare opportunity for an experienced and technical SQL Database Administrator to further develop ones career on exciting projects within a forward thinking and leading global leading service delivery company.
This opportunity will be responsible for the management and maintenance of nominated databases within my client’s environment. This position will work within the Operations DBA group and will require someone with very strong technical, problem solving and communications skill set.
To be successful in this role you will be required to have the following:
- Microsoft database product knowledge and experience such as; SQL Server 7, 2000, 2005, 2008, Clustered SQL Server, SQL Server Manager, Analysis Server, SQL Profiler etc
- Strong experience with Windows server environments i.e. NT/2000/2003/2008
- Strong understanding of MS Windows Security Models
- Solid knowledge with SAN and NAS storage systems
- Good knowledge with Intel hardware
In addition to the above you will also need a deep understanding on a broad range of system administration topics such as; Change control, Configuration Management, Capacity Planning, Backup Systems, Infrastructure Design, Network Design, Performance Measurement and Monitoring ????? ?????.
You will be working within a ITIL environment so it will be essential that you have worked within a large ITIL enterprise environment.
This role will be highly challenging and will be well suited to a candidate with experience working in a high pressure, corporate environment. You will be working within a team but personally you will be proactive and highly self motivated.
