Our client is a highly successful firm whose foundation a number of years ago was in response to a shortage of shop fitting expertise to service Australia’s major retailers. The company has experienced tremendous growth in both turnover and its customer base where today it offers three core areas of business including project management, shop fitting and storage/logistics. The success in establishing excellent relationships with many of Australia’s biggest retailers is based on a passion and a will to provide a unique industry standard of superior customer service.
 
Reporting to the General Manager, the Project Manager will be responsible for the planning, implementation, management and closure of specific projects that might be a one-off turn key project or multiple projects with a national client. The role requires a hands on approach which will involve regular visits to the site and management of the performance and representation of the contract site crews. In addition, the role is heavily relational; this includes close liaison with the design, estimating, procurement and warehousing departments as well as building a close working relationship with the client including managing the issues relating to live projects. Meeting deadline and quality objectives will utilize your superior project management skills and passion to provide a superior level of customer service.
 
The successful candidate should have relevant project management experience in a similar industry ie that involves the reading of plans/product drawings and overseeing the work of tradesmen; that may involve a background in building & construction, logistics or engineering. (or similar) Personal characteristics required include excellent people and communication skills, problem solving ability, being organised and efficient as well as having honesty and integrity. Some interstate travel is required and a competitive remuneration package is offered.
