Information Librarian

 

Temporary Part-time 12 months (15 hours per week)

$27.52 – $32.07 per hour

3 x Information Librarians

We are seeking suitably qualified librarians to work 15 hours per week at all Library service points and as the roster requires.  You need to be flexible, energetic and able to demonstrate experience working in a customer service environment, ideally in a culturally and linguistically diverse environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the provision of a high quality information service to Library customers.
• Provide effective and efficient customer focussed library and information services to all library users both on and off site.
• Supervise staff and efficient operation of front-of-house Library Services as rostered Librarian, providing a responsive and flexible customer driven service.

You will be committed to the delivery of excellent service and to continuous improvement. You will assist Library users in the use of traditional and electronic Library resources and actively approach Library customers who require assistance.

 

To be considered for this position you must be eligible for professional membership of the Australian Library and Information Association, or near completion of qualification for professional membership and willing to work weekend and evening shifts.
