COOTAMUNDRA NURSING HOMEDirector of NursingApplications are invited for the above position in our 60 bed High care facility.Cootamundra is rated as the second safest town in New South Wales to live in. It is well supplied withdoctors and other professional services. We have good schools taking children through to year 12.The Cootamundra Nursing Home is a 60 bed high care facility including a 15 bed Dementia Wing situat-ed in a spacious new building adjacent to a first-rate medical clinic and a well-equipped hospital.It is a stand alone community owned facility with a substantial share portfolio and a self-care unit devel-opment with 19 units built and sold and space for another 6. All income and profits are used to enhance the operation of the facility and the care of our residents.We have a high staff to residents ratio.We have a proactive Board of Directors with a healthy mix of professional business people and othercommunity members.Essential Criteria Current registration with the Nurses & Midwives Registration Board of NSW (List A) Minimum of 5 years Nursing Experience in a Senior capacity A genuine commitment to Aged Care Proven leadership, management and administration skills The ability to lead a multidisciplinary team Excellent oral and written communication skills Knowledge and proven ability in understanding the Aged Care sector A genuine concern for Staff while committed to prudent management and stewardship of resources Mandatory compliance with Occupational Health and Safety, & Fire Prevention legislations Willingness to participate in own Professional Development and ongoing education Demonstrated leadership in meeting Accreditation Standards and Continuous Quality Improvement A willingness to embrace new ideas.Desirable Criteria Post Graduate Qualifications in Gerontology, Management & Computer Literacy.Salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Cootamundra Nursing Home CollectiveAgreement 2008.Further particulars including Job Description are available on request by contacting Mrs Lexie OConnoron Ph (??) ???? ????
