Program Manager - StepUp

2 year fixed term, 30.4- 38 hrs pw (negotiable)

Good Shepherd Youth and Family Service provide a range of services to women, young people, families and children across four regional locations in Victoria. Programs include youth support services, housing, microfinance, financial counselling, family violence, wide- ranging family and children’s services, social policy and research.

The position of Program Manager - StepUP is part of an agency wide team providing a range of innovative microfinance services to people on low and limited incomes in a social justice/non-judgemental context.

Central to your role will be contract management oversight and provision of supports to agencies with whom Good Shepherd has partnered for the delivery of StepUP across the country.

The focus your role will be the quality of the delivery of the StepUP program, strategies with regard to service delivery including the development of policies/procedures and the provision of training which ensures best practice and the ongoing strengthening of StepUP.

You will be active within the Microfinance Worker community; advocating on behalf of low income consumers; promoting the StepUP program to potential referral agencies; promoting the development of best practice with regard to the delivery of the StepUP program; liaising with community groups and overseeing the performance of the program across Australia.

You will be committed to social justice and community development and possess qualifications and experience in community development &/or community education.
