Program Manager - Microfinance & Community

 

  • 2 year fixed term, 30.4- 38 hrs pw (negotiable)

  • Good Shepherd Youth and Family Service provide a range of services to women, young people, families and children across four regional locations in Victoria. Programs include youth support services, housing, microfinance, financial counselling, family violence, wide- ranging family and children’s services, social policy and research.

     NILS® is the cornerstone of Good Shepherd Youth and Family Service’s microfinance programs.

    As the  Program Manager - Microfinance & Community, you will play a key role in the consolidation of the NILS network following this period of change.

    You will support State Coordinators, various NILS® Community Development Workers and work with individual NILS® programs.

     
    Key to this role is the preservation of the integrity of NILS® and the role includes oversight of NILS® Accreditation which each program is required to have completed. Accreditation focuses on governance, policies and procedures, interview and loan assessment processes, data collection and financial management.
     
    You will also be responsible for the oversight of training materials and the delivery of training to the national network.   
     
    You will also be an advocate for the network, coordinate and support network meetings, be responsible for the publication of the national NILS® newsletter and the ongoing development of innovative supports for the National NILS® network.
     
    You will also have responsibility for the Good Shepherd Buying Service and other consumer services offered by the unit.
     

    You will be committed to social justice and community development and possess qualifications and experience in community development &/or community education.
