Secure and University-funded organisation with generous terms of employment, seeks an experienced Practice Manager to join a professional and dynamic group of General Practitioners and administrative staff.
Enjoy this challenging and rewarding role in a busy environment, up to nine doctors at any given time, 150 patients seen on a daily basis and approximately 100 calls/queries per day.
As Practice Manager the focus is on the day-to-day financials and secretarial responsibilities of the practice management team. Professional development is encouraged and allocation of time and fees for attendance at courses is provided for all staff.
Working closely with the Manager of Business Operations your key responsibilities include:
Administration of the day-to-day financial systems
- Reconciliation of daily financial activity
- Electronic transmission of Medicare/Vet Affairs batching
- Submit onclaims to other agencies and reconcile payments
- Liaise with providers as required
- Assist with the preparation of paperwork associated with charging Licence fees for utilisation of software
- Debt collection
- Monthly reporting
Secretarial and Clerical Support
- Place purchase orders
- Process invoices
- Process casual staff timesheets
- Arrange building maintenance
- Arrange purchase of equipment
- Maintain full awareness of policies, procedures and environment
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information
- Provide cover for reception staff at the front desk
- Assist with the implementation of policy in relation to Accreditation and General Practice standards
Staff Induction and Training
- Induction and training of new staff
- Performance management of reception staff
This role is working full time, Monday-Friday, 7:45am-4:05pm. Remuneration: $49,962 per annum (with generous reviews) + 17% superannuation.
Two years proven management experience within a private medical practice is essential along with strong computer and financial skills. The ability to work within a team environment is essential.
