Graduate Structural/Project Engineer

The main responsibility of this role is to provide complete Engineering ????? ????? the Infrastructure team.

Additional Responsibilities include the flexibility to take on project engineer duties as required:

To co-ordinate the evaluation of existing structures and sites and the subsequent preparation of reports and recommendations for Capital Works projects, cross discipline approvals and CAPEX. This is achieved through the management and coordination of engineering ????? ????? on site modification/construction through to the essential client liaison, project schedules and financial management.

Co-ordinate site upgrades according to the design brief, schedule, within budget, using safe construction practices. This assessment process requires liaising with clients and contractors as well as between inter-company departments.

Manage technicians/subcontractors responsible for site modification activities. Ensure that all purchase order documentation is current, accurate and complete.

Competencies:

Strong analytical and problem solving ability.

Structural design experience in reinforced concrete and structural steel work.

Knowledge of telco industry highly regarded

Experience with MSTower or Microstran highly regarded

Knowledge of Australia codes and ability to interpret them effectively (AS1170, AS3995, AS4100, AS3600, AS4676, AS1657)

Member of Australia IE preferable (not essential)

Competencies as Project Engineer:

Skilled in job costing relating

Ability to track and diagnose workflow problems, critical path and institute remedies

Basic knowledge of antenna system installation on towers, buildings, and other structures.

Basic knowledge of civil, electrical, telco and grounding construction procedures.

Ability to read and understand drawings, technical specifications and contracts.

Skill in operating a personal computer with Windows operating system. Familiar with Microsoft Project, Access, Word, Excel, J D Edwards and project tracking computer packages.

Ability to effectively communicate with internal customers and management through written and verbal methods.

Education & Experience

B.E Civil / Structural Engineering

1-2 years graduate experience in structural design preferable
