Join an industry leading coal mining company on one of their large open cut coal operations located in the Bowen Basin region.

Reporting to the Senior Mine Surveyor on site, you will be responsible for:

• Provision of routine survey control for major mining equipment - draglines, shovels, dozers and drills
• Detailed surveys of mine workings
• Maintaining computer models & mine and statutory plans;
• Provision of overburden, coal mined and stockpile volumes
• Preparation of pit reconciliations and mining reports
• Maintaining and enhancing mine site safety standards
• Projects as required

Ideally candidates shall have:

• Tertiary Qualifications in Spatial Science or Surveying
• Previous surveying experience in an open-cut coal operation
• Experience with Trimble Total Stations and Trimble GPS
• Experience using Vulcan, Access and GIS software

Salaries will be commensurate with experience and will be in the range of $90k - $120k + benefits.

Salaries outside this range will be considered for exceptional candidates.
