CSG Field Engineer

  • Santos is an Australian based oil and gas exploration and production company pursuing an ambitious growth strategy. Currently embarking on a ground breaking project in Queensland, investing over $7.7 billion, we’re developing a world first LNG plant in Gladstone which will turn coal seam gas (CSG) into liquefied natural gas (LNG).

    Working within the Early Works GLNG team, the primary responsibilities of the CSG Field Engineer are pre-commissioning and commissioning of CSG wells and flowlines projects in CSG fields as well as field- focused technical support in the CSG wellhead facilities, pipelines and gathering ????? ?????.

    Duties include but are not limited to:

    • Ensure all commissioning activities complies include appropriate Environmental, Health and Safety requirements.
    • Participate in safety training & toolbox talks, audits, hazard inspections and accident investigations.
    • Participate in developing project schedule with CSG Flowlines and Connections Project Engineers.
    • Mark up P&IDs and construction drawings as required when changes occur and liaise with Design Coordinators for preparation of As Built for commissioned facilities.
    • Participate in risk assessments and Hazops.
    • Initiate change requests and Management of Change documentation.
    • Assist in preparing ????? ????? commissioning procedures for surface facilities.
    • Assist in preparing ????? ????? operating manuals and training documentation to Operations.
    • Coordinate with Operation to complete commissioning review meeting.
    • Prepare commissioning and hand over plan for flowline and connections projects.
    • Participate in construction and project team meeting and provide progress reports for commissioning activities.
    • Complete CFT and commissioning of lease equipments and flowline projects.
    • Prepare plant hand over and acceptance documents and liaise with Operation for review and sign off on plant hand over and acceptance.
    Ideally you will have a Tertiary qualification in Mechanical or Process/ Chem Engineering ????? ????? with a proven background within the hydrocarbon production, refining or chemicals industry.  Experience in oil and gas or piping field is preferable. This position is based in Fairview.
