Maintenance Planner – Goonyella Riverside

Downer EDI Mining currently has an opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Planner at our Goonyella Riverside Project. You will have a proven ability to multitask and work within a fast-paced environment, combined with a commitment to safe work practices and continuous improvement principles together with a flexible proactive attitude to work.  Your understanding of planning and scheduling and experience in optimising the availability of equipment will add value to this large mining operation.

The mine is located 30km north of Moranbah township and 190km south west of the Hay Point port facilities.

This job offers a great lifestyle roster (6 Days on, 5 days off), excellent package and a great team to work with.

Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, your duties will include but are not limited to:

  •   Maintaining an accurate Maintenance system to effectively plan and schedule work
  •   Identify key leverages for improvement in our Maintenance Plans (Costs, reliability, capacity)
  •   Planning and scheduling of major component change outs
  •   Scheduling of preventative maintenance and shutdown maintenance plans
  •   Analysing component failure modes and recommending improved maintenance strategies
  •   Assess and question the suitability of current maintenance tactics and modify/change where necessary.
  •   Take a lead role in scheduling and re-forecasting for maintenance costs. Compiling monthly plant reports and assist monitoring ????? ????? against budget

Skills Required

  •   Relevant Tertiary qualifications or trade background
  •   Strong practical knowledge of maintenance planning and scheduling techniques
  •   High level of computer literacy with experience in reporting from data based applications
  •   Well developed interpersonal, written communication and team work skills
  •   Experience with JDE and Project will be highly regarded
