This world class Mining House is currently operating in more than 15 countries worldwide including a number of established operations throughout Australia.

They are currently seeking a Geo-technical Engineer for their Rock Mechanics Team. You will be responsible for ensuring the mine development, production activities and active mine areas are maintained to ensure an acceptable level of risk from geotechnical hazards.   This will be achieved by coordinating all daily and long-term geotechnical requirements for their section.

Reporting to the Superintendent, your duties will include the integration of rock mechanics design into the mine planning process and the use of empirical and numerical modelling techniques to assist in the detail design of stopes and mine infrastructure.    It is important you can utilise the current rock mechanics design tools and prepared to focus on continuous improvement for the department and the business unit.

You will need to have the relevant degree qualifications in Geological Engineering and a couple of years experience as Geotechnical Engineer in an underground Hard-rock environment.
