This company is a renowned leader in the mining industry with many successful operations in Australia and Internationally.

They are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Rock Mechanic to join the team in a residential role. This is a great role for a Rock Mechanic with at least two solid years of relevant experience. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring ????? ????? development and production activities and active mine areas are maintained to an acceptable standard. Coordinating all daily and long term geotechnical requirements are met in the given areas of control.

This role reports directly to the Superintendent and duties will include the integration of design into the mine planning process for this substantial underground mining operation. You will have experience with empirical and numerical modelling techniques that will assist in the detail design of stoping and infrastructure.

Key aspects of the role will include but not be limited to:

• Utilising current rock mechanics design tools
• Having an effective input into continuous improvement
• Interacting effectively with other departments of the business
• Having major influence in blasting and reinforcement design
• Decision making on ground support

This is an excellent role with a leading and extremely well regarded mining organisation. The role is purely residential position, no FI/FO will be offered for this role.
