Our client is a successful surface coal miner that produces both thermal and coking coal for domestic and overseas markets.  They have a requirement for a tertiary qualified mining engineer with 12 to 36 months experience preferably in either a coal or metalliferous open cut environment.  You must enjoy working with a dynamic and focused team of professionals who are committed to success in this well organised and system focused coal mine. 
 
Reporting to the senior mining engineer, you key accountabilities will encompass mine design, scheduling and drill and blast operations.  You will work as a member of supportive team where you will receive outstanding coaching and guidance.   Experience with software programs such as MineScope or Minex is preferred for this truck and shovel operation.
