LEADING HAND DIESEL FITTER

NORWICH PARK PROJECT

Located inland from Mackay, Norwich Park Project is adjacent to the town of Dysart. 

Assisting the Supervisor in the Leading Hand Fitter role, you will work closely with the maintenance team to provide leadership and direction for a safe, productive and cost effective operation.  The roster consists of 4 days on, 4 days off, rotating day and night shifts. Transport is supplied from Mackay to site and camp accommodation is also provided.

Your knowledge and mechanical expertise on Hitachi excavators and Caterpillar trucks will add value to the production of the mine.  Applicants must have a commitment to safe work practices and continuous improvement principles with the ability to participate in a multi-skilled environment.

The role requires candidates with essential qualifications and extensive experience in the open cut mining industry and include:

  • Knowledge of components and systems associated with Caterpillar heavy earthmoving equipment
  • An understanding of computer based maintenance systems
  • Diagnostic skills and experience
