Service Technician - Mechanical

A position exists for a Field Service Technician to ensure efficient maintenance of the client’s fleet of equipment at the North Goonyella Mine Site.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

The Service Technician is responsible for assisting with maintenance of ABM continuous mining equipment on our customer’s site.  The role requires liaising with site personnel to ensure requirements and time frames are met. 

Main duties of the role include:

  • Adherance to all Sandvik Mining and Construction Policies & Procedures especially the EHS policies.
  • Providing planned and unplanned maintenance support.
  • Providing feedback to enable maintenance planning improvements in terms of efficiency and equipment integrity.
  • Assisting with members of the Continuous Improvement group to improve equipment utilisation.
  • Assisting on additional site equipment supported by Sandvik.
  • Initial 12 month contract.
  • On-call ????? ????? support.
  • 4 on 4 off  12 hour rotating day shift.

YOUR PROFILE

The role will require you to have qualifications in a Mechanical trade and a post trade experience of at least 5 years in underground mining.  

Ideally you will have a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. You will need to be flexible in your approach to work hours/rosters to meet our customers’ working requirements. Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Project are required.
