Hays Resources and Mining have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Mining Engineer. The role is within a company that is one of the major players in the mining industry offering guaranteed career stability and progression in a time of economic uncertainty.

This newly created role is fundamentally responsible for the development, guidance, and optimisation of the operational and short term mine plan.  Internal liaison with your peers and superiors is an important part of the role.

Demonstrated ability in Team Management is preferable as leadership will be a key role and responsibility. This is an ideal development opportunity and high performing engineers ready for the next step are called to apply.

To be successful you will have a degree in mining or civil engineering and a minimum of 3 years experience in open cut mine planning or production.  Effective communication skills with production and technical roles and a demonstrated commitment to safety will be just as important.

Software literacy in Vulcan or other similar planning programs is essential to perform this role.
