We are currently working with one of the leaders in mine production; they are well known throughout the mining industry, due to their size, diversity and well received reputation.

With your experience in Drill and Blast Engineering you will have the opportunity to join a professional technical services team on site at this major open cut coal operation.

This role offers enormous scope for a Drill and Blast Engineer with a hands-on attitude to develop their career and offers the variety of planning, design and operational aspects coming under your control.

You will need to be a degree qualified Mining Engineer and have a couple of solid years Drill and Blast experience, ideally in an open cut coal environment. Other experience in blast and design initiatives will be highly regarded, as will your ability to use common mining softwares. Your main areas of responsibility will be:

• Developing Drill and Blast plans.
• Preparing ????? ????? schedules.
• Monitoring ????? ????? performance against plans.
  
• Continually improving the drill and blast process.
• Undertake project work as required.
• Ensure that D&B operations are carried out in a safe manner.
