As further investment into regional QLD continues, development applications are pouring into Local Government in these burgeoning property markets requiring highly skilled Development Assessment engineers to cope with this increase in demand.
Through key relationships in government we are providing the opportunity for excellent DA engineers to take initiative in the recovering market and secure high quality opportunities with Local Governments in North QLD and a regional township.
You will be responsible for providing leadership to Development Engineering teams ensuring outcomes achieve Council's planning and sub divisional objectives, manage stakeholder relationships and ensure that all standards and codes are adhered to through the efficient service delivery of the team.
You will manage the assessment of development applications including providing engineering input into applications for all forms of development in the region. You will be preparing reports in addition to providing expert advice to stakeholders on development engineering matters.
An ideal candidate will possess:
- Civil Engineering Degree or a related qualification from a recognised University with extensive relevant experience
- Corporate Membership of Engineers Australia or eligibility for such membership
- Demonstrated relevant experience in Development Assessment within Local Government. In addition to extensive experience in Civil Engineering, with a primary focus on Development and Sub-divisional Engineering
