Job Description              The position is responsible for: supervising a multidisciplinary team; providing high-level regulatory inputs into planning processes, particularly development approvals and water sharing ????? ?????: ensuring ????? ????? assessment of approval applications support government guidelines/decisions in accordance with legislation, regulations, policies and plans:  advising, informing and educating clients, and other agency staff in licensing policies and practices

Selection Criteria
 

  • Extensive expertise in interpreting natural resource management issues and applying principles relating to water management and water regulatory processes.

  • Advanced knowledge of the interaction of natural resource and planning legislation and comprehensive understanding of procedures associated with applying policy and procedures.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply departmentally administered water legislation and related legislation, policy and procedures

  • Advanced written/oral communication, presentation, report writing, conflict resolution and facilitation skills.

  • Extensive experience and proven ability to negotiate and apply innovative solutions to issues involving natural resource allocation or use.

  • Proven organisational, problem solving, analytical skills to work/negotiate effectively with community groups and project teams on diverse issues.

  • Experience in the supervision of and extensive involvement in multi-disciplinary teams to achieve organisational outcomes.

  • Current Drivers Licence.
