Senior Software Testers

 

Out Federal Government client is currently seeking the services of medium to senior-level Software Testers to perform a contract role located in Canberra  
 
We seek high quality software testing services for the client’s management project. Testing is expected to be undertaken in accordance with the departments testing methodologies and processes, within time and budgetary constraints.  
 
In order to be successful for this role, you will have previous experience in the following technical areas (but not limited to): 

• The use of system testing methodologies particularly as they relate to client/server and web-based technologies;  
  
• Testing practices, processes and documentation in relation to manual testing in an iterative system development environment;  
  
• Have experience in an Oracle / Java environment, strong SQL skills, and exposure to automated testing tools / basic scripting;  
  
• Demonstrate an ability to contribute to the entire test lifecycle;  
  
• Have an ability to follow defined processes and contribute to process improvement;  
  
• Have an ability to work well both as a member of a team and individually, with a diverse range of people, in an equitable, participative and consultative manner to achieve organisational goals;  
  
• Possess highly developed oral and written communication skills, including sound negotiation skills and the ability to contribute to training of other testers and relevant staff
