ACT based federal agency is seeking several skilled and experienced analyst / developer programmers to work in a Section responsible for the development and implementation of a new document management solution, development of new websites, and to support existing intranets and websites for the Department.
As an analyst/programmer, you will be working extensively in a Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS 2007) environment within the department's enterprise infrastructure. Other duties will include:
- Actively leading the technical design and development of a MOSS 2007 application using the standard development tools and infrastructure;
- Supporting existing SharePoint applications and legacy websites built in FrontPage and Microsoft CMS environments.
- Undertaking analysis, design, programming and configuration work;
- Contributing to the development of technical documentation.
Your skills and background will include:
- Well developed time-management skills, with a sound ability to manage conflicting priorities.
- Strong desire and ability to constantly work to tight deadlines independently or as a team member with minimal supervision.
- Technical skills: Proven experience in Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 environment.
- Experience and/or knowledge of FrontPage and MCMS environments.
- Proven ability in undertaking object-oriented design & development of n-tier web applications using Microsoft C#, ASP.NET, SQL Sever 2008, ADO.NET, HTML, Javascript, XML/XSL and Visual SourceSafe.
- Knowledge of Windows Server Active Directory and its interface with other applications.
- Proven ability to rapidly understand new applications, software framework(s), and business/IT processes.
- Sound ability to produce technical documentation for internal use by the developers (design documentation, guidelines, etc).
- Experience in Rapid Application Development (RAD) Methodologies.
As the position is security cleared at Highly Protected OR Protected level, it is highly desired that the potential applicants hold a current clearance with Commonwealth or must have maintained Australian Citizenship.
