Experienced Analyst / Programmer
Our large Federal Government client is currently seeking the services of several SharePoint Developers on a contract basis located in Canberra.
The Department requires skilled and experienced SharePoint Developers to work in a section responsible for the development and implementation of a new document management solution, development of new websites, and to support existing intranets and websites for the Department. These personnel will be working extensively in a Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS 2007) environment within the client’s enterprise infrastructure. It is expected that the successful applicants will be able to constantly work to tight deadlines and liaise effectively with the various business teams.
On a day to day basis, your role will predominantly be responsible for:
- Supporting existing SharePoint applications and legacy websites built in FrontPage and Microsoft CMS environments.
- Undertaking analysis, design, programming and configuration work;
- Providing sound technical advice; and
- Contributing to the development of technical documentation.
In order to be successful in this role, you will have extensive Microsoft .Net Development experience, particularly most recently Visual Studio 2008. In addition, you have been honing in on and focussing your career in the development of MOSS 2007 applications. Specifically, you will have the following experience and skills (but not limited to):
- Proven experience in Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 environment.
- Experience and/or knowledge of FrontPage and MCMS environments.
- Proven ability in undertaking object-oriented design & development of n-tier web applications using Microsoft C#, ASP.NET, SQL Sever 2008, ADO.NET, HTML, JavaScript, XML/XSL and Visual SourceSafe.
- Proven ability to rapidly understand new applications, software framework(s), and business/IT processes.
- Sound ability to produce technical documentation for internal use by the developers (design documentation, guidelines, etc).
- Well-developed communication skills, as well as highly developed time-management skills, with a sound ability to manage conflicting priorities.
- Strong desire and ability to constantly work to tight deadlines independently or as a team member with minimal supervision.
