The client is a highly regarded provider of ground environment simulation & situational awareness systems utilising the latest mathematical and physics concepts to be integrated with combat, radar, and missile training systems. ​Due to the growing needs in the defence sector, a Software Engineer eligible holding a current defence clearance is required to work on the Situational Awareness Systems project. For this particular project the selected Software Engineers will assist in the design, development, test, and verification of SEG’s missile trajectory and RF signature prediction simulations.

 

Allowing you the opportunity to combine complex mathematical/physics concepts with programming, the successful software engineer will need to have a strong understanding of real-time and mission critical programming skills.

 

Requirements:

  • Software development/verification experience with the complete 'waterfall' software life cycle (incremental lifecycle). In particular, the capture of requirements, the management of changes throughout the software life cycle, the management of software reviews with the customer.
  • Technical skills in Real Time software development and software verification on Real Time test bench with Hardware in the loop. Experience with formal design method for design and verification.
  • Understanding the software quality standards and processes (eg CMM/ECSS).
  • Familiarities with recognised software design and verification methodologies.
  • Clear report writing and effective presentation skills.
  • Effective as working in a multi-disciplinary team and be Pro-active
  • Background in C++, Java or .NET programming on Windows and/or Unix environments
