Experienced Mainframe Developer / Technical Specialist

We require an Experienced Mainframe Developer / Technical Specialist for an initial 12-months+ Contract with our client in Canberra.

Demonstrated extensive knowledge and proven experience with one or more of the following is required:

•    Highly developed coding skills in TELON / COBOL programming language. Knowledge of Cool:Gen 6.n (also called Advantage:Gen or AllFusion 7.n) and SAS are desirable.

•    Experience in maintenance and / or the development of large software systems within a large IBM mainframe environment.

•    Experience in the design and development of large scale mainframe systems.

•    Experience in the resolution of mainframe system problems, with an emphasis on production support problems

•    DB2. (in particular database interrogation / update skills using SQL via Princeton/Platinum/SPUFI and submitted jobs)
