To excel in this role, you will have the following skills & experience: 
 

• The environment utilises TSM, Backup Exec, Netbackup, a working knowledge of these product or above is essential.  
  
• An understanding of Tape library hardware requirements in a large scale distributed server environment.  
  
• Strong technical skills with current and previous versions of Windows Workstation Operating Systems for desktop & laptop platforms. And the support of Windows Server environment.  
  
• Experience in a complex 2^nd or 3^rd level technical support environment  
  
• Understanding of networking principles (DHCP, WINS, DNS, TCP/IP).  
  
• Understand LAN/WAN principles and technologies  
  

  
In this role your responsibilities will include:  
  

• Under minimal direction perform the daily/weekly data backup/restores in a large distributed server environment.  
  
• Under general direction, implements and supports LAN infrastructure (server & desktop) as it relates to the Backup environment  
  
• Acts as a liaison between the customer, suppliers, and other technical groups to resolve backup/restore problems.  
  
• Implements operational support standards and procedures relating to Backup and Recovery management.  
  
• Write and present technical & business solutions for Backup methodologies and disaster recovery.  
  
• Ability to manage vendors when resolving issues relating to our Data backup/restoration.
