- CISSP
- Degree advantageous
- CEH

- Firewalls
- VPNs
- Operating System (Windows, Linux, Unix) experience
- Symmetric and Asymmetric Encryption and associated Key Management
- Database (Oracle, MS-SQL)
- Web server/application (MS, Apache, Oracle, IBM)
- Web Services (SAML, SOAP, XML)
- Some programming - any language
- AD, SunOne or Novell understanding
- Architect for small to large sites
- Expert security skills
