Position Title: Virtualised Environment Administrator

As a virtualised environment administrator, you role will involve providing high level technical support and management of the virtualised environment hosted by Systems Operations (SysOps).

• administer the corporate VMWare environments, ensuring ????? ????? and performance through appropriate change/release management;
• design test and build a virtual environment for production level systems;
• monitor and support the server and storage infrastructure;
• provide 3rd level support for corporate applications;
• project manage and implement new solutions; and
• provide appropriate technical documentation.

Skill requisite:

You will have

• a minimum of 5 years of proven VMWare experience in supporting large developer/test systems;
• experience in supporting virtual environments in a secure, complex production environment would be an advantage;
• 3 years of proven change and project management experience especially in regard to mission critical 24x7 systems in a highly secure environment;
• understanding of the ITIL framework;
• well developed analytical and conceptual skills with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve system availability and performance issues;
• demonstrated ability to work under pressure and to deliver outcomes within deadlines;
• Possess following technical skills: ESX Server 3i, vSphere 4 and VirtualCenter including Vmotion, HA, Data Recover, Storage Vmotion, Lab Manager, Lifecycle Manager would be highly desirable.
