Support Technician - Data Migration
Our large Federal Government client is currently seeking the services of a Data Migration specialist on a contract basis.
As part of the introduction of a new Document Management System (DMS) the department is seeking suitable contractors to assist with the migration of documents from its existing systems and storage to the new DMS.
The position will involve working with business/technical teams and individuals to identify and assist with the moving of documents from their current locations to the new DMS. It will involve the use of utilities and manual processes.
As the Data Migration Specialist on this project, you will bring with you extensive experience and will be a subject matter expert in the following areas:
- Knowledge and experience with document management systems, in particular, 80/20, SharePoint 2007 and TRIM Context. This includes an understanding of security models and Active Directory functionality.
- Knowledge and experience of document management principles, guidelines and best practices.
- Experience with the use of data migration tools and/or techniques.
- Knowledge and experience using Visual Basic 6 (VB6), Visual Basic Scripting (VBS), C# and SQL.
- Knowledge and experience using MS Office products, in particular, MS Excel.
- As well as good organisation, planning and communication skills.
It is essential that all applicants are Australian Citizens with a current Protected level (or higher) Federal Government security clearance or have the ability to obtain one.
