Business Analyst⁄ Data Modeller

Canberra Location

Minimum 6 month contract

Up to $80 per hour negotiable

My Client based in Canberra is looking for an experienced BA⁄Data modeller. your with your skills and experience you will be required to

  • With a balance of analyse and judgment, classify and harmonise information according to the architecture.
  • Develop and maintain detailed conceptual and logical data models to encapsulate data concepts.
  • Design and build message schemas in accordance with the architecture and relevant standards to enable business to government reporting through the channel.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders to ensure a shared understanding of the design and its implications across the program are achieved.
  • Assist with change control and governance processes, including impact analysis.
  • Contribute to leadership to deliver pragmatic and practical solutions and to develop additional capability. 
  • Participate in the training activities of the area, support the development of your team members and take responsibility for own learning and development.

a.Demonstrated experience or the ability to quickly acquire the knowledge in relation to;

  • Forms and Information Analysis
  • MIM's
  • XBRL Reporting Taxonomies
  • Element Tables
  • Message Implementation Guides (MIGs)
  • AP221's and AP360's (Technical and functional specifications)

b.Demonstrated communication skills with a range of Business and IT staff, both written and oral;

c.Demonstrated ability to work to tight timeframes in a high pressure environment;

d.Familiarity IBM mainframe;

e.Demonstrated experience conducting analysis and creating and maintaining system documentation for complex areas of functionality;

f.Ability to transfer their skills to staff through documentation of work, briefings, mentoring ????? ?????.
