This large, Federal Government Department is presently seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst/Advisor to become a key part of a large Project team focusing on a new information management and delivery platform. This opportunity will allow you to be responsible for essentially joining together and bridging the gap between several policy-based initiatives currently being proposed by the Government. You will report directly to the Project Director, whilst providing support and information to the rest of the project staff. Your role will also involve (but will surely not be limited to): - Provide the project team and Department with strategic advice on the use of technology to support the achievement of policy and business objectives;
- Provide the project and development team with advice on the principles, business requirements and business models that should be adopted in order to ensure that the applications that are developed will meet the Australian Government’s objectives;
- Provide the project team with responsive, comprehensive, relevant, clear and intelligible advice on relevant policy, pedagogical, legislative and regulatory issues.
As an experienced Senior Business Analyst/Advisor, you will bring ????? ????? extensive experience in the following fields, predominantly at the large enterprise/Federal Government level: - Ability to provide strategic advice on how organisations can apply technology to support the achievement of policy and business objectives, specifically in relation to specialist Government-based sectors.
- Ability to ensure that the multi-disciplinary project team has ready access to comprehensive, detailed, clear and intelligible advice about teaching/learning, policy, legislative and regulatory issues.
- Ability to proactively find, synthesise and disseminate reports, including:
- the ability to identify, then to rapidly comprehend and analyse, relevant policy papers, academic and other research, legislation, regulations, framework documents, standards and other business and policy documents; and - the ability to identify the stakeholders who may benefit from the outcomes of the research, and to proactively disseminate the relevant information to those stakeholders in a form that meets their requirements. - Ability to harness, and where necessary rapidly develop, their strong and broad knowledge of technology to advise project team members on the effectiveness of using particular technical approaches to support the achievement of business and policy objectives, including the identification of alternative approaches.
