8 Month Contract

Probability of extension

Our large government client has an 8 month contract for a senior java contractor to carry out the following:

Provide technical leadership for eBusiness projects
Mentoring ????? ????? junior developers
 
Develop and review the technical design of new projects
 
Provide support for the various eBusiness project groups
 
Design of system components and integration with other systems
Perform design reviews and code reviews of system components
 
Managing and resolving technical issues
Developing and updating detailed design documentation as required.
Representing eBusiness at technical forums within the department.

Skills required:

Excellent object oriented design skills, and experience with UML
 
In depth knowledge of Java and the J2EE environment
 
At least 5 years recent experience developing Java/J2EE applications
Team leadership skills
 
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience with relational databases.
 
In dept knowledge with web services, internet applications, XML, EJB, JSP and SOA, Struts, Spring, JSR 168, SOAP.

Experience in clearcase, clearquest, rational rose, Borland Enterprise Server, Oracle, Struts, LDAP, Unix, ES Bus, Websphere, WCC and MQ Series would be an advantage.
