    Are you looking for a new role, with a mix of site and office based work and have the opportunity to work on a varied and interesting workload?

    This is an urgent requirement for a Superintendents Representative to join this medium sized engineering ????? ????? in Canberra. You will be joining a 35 strong team working specifically on civil engineering ????? ????? development projects. Projects include both public and private sector clients from a 6,000 lot estate to house a population of 20,000 people to smaller generalist civil schemes.

    The successful candidate will likely have around 8-10 years experience working for either consultancies or contractors in a supervisory type role.

    Main responsibilities include:
    • Supervision and administration of the construction process.
    • Introduce appropriate performance measurement to provide for continuous improvement and service delivery.
    • Prepare project plan to achieve agreed outcomes.
    • Control processes to ensure plan achievement.
    • Preparation and maintenance of progress reports and their provision to clients on a regular basis.
    • Prepare and review project related correspondence.
    • Monitor the actual time and cost expended on the total project against the budget.
    • Identify non-conformances and take corrective and preventative action.
    • Maintain project quality records.
    • Prepare tender documents and general conditions of contract.
    • Report to management on project delivery.
    Selection Criteria:
    • Budgetary skills.
    • Ability to meet deadlines.
    • High-level negotiation and dispute resolution skills.
    • Demonstrated decision making abilities.
    • EEO and OH&S knowledge essential - formal qualifications not essential but highly regarded.
    • Current Class A1 drivers license.
    • Demonstrated of contract law.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of service authority, requirements, systems and processes.
