DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENT, CLIMATE CHANGE AND WATER NSW Senior Field SupervisorSenior Field Supervisor, Riverina, Tumut, Permanent Full-TimeVacancy Ref :DECC09-253Total remuneration package to $84,848p.a. including salary $66,819p.a. to $71,745p.a. Salary package includes base salary (inclusive of annual leave loading), an additional 8.5% loading for working weekends and public holidays, and employer contributions to superannuation. Progression criteria apply to movement within the salary scale. The SFS is an integral part of the Former Snowy Scheme Sites (FSSS) Rehabilitation Program. The SFS will provide a vital resource in the Program by undertaking: Project development and planning, develop tender documents and manage tender process, Monitor quality and manage contractors and contract works, Coordinate field staff activity, planning and implement works programming and Administration, management and reporting on field staff.Selection Criteria:Demonstrated ability to work with the Department's statutory obligations as they apply to conservation natural, Aboriginal and cultural heritage and resources and experience in exercising delegated authority for law enforcement.Demonstrated superior supervisory and team leadership skills; excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication and community relations skills including awareness of Aboriginal and Cultural Heritage and site conservation issues.Demonstrated Experience in or detailed knowledge of various trade skills and experience in the purchase, management and utilisation of plant and equipment.Demonstrated superior cost estimation, budgeting and project management, administrative and organisation skills and capacity for working with various software programs, including demonstrated knowledge of financial and asset management systems.Demonstrated experience in ensuring ????? ?????, management and completion of maintenance programs and construction of park/recreational facilities such as roads/fire trails, walking tracks and buildings; and pest and animal control. Demonstrated ability and experience to operate and supervise the operation of machinery, plant and equipment for maintenance and construction work; willingness and ability to obtain Workcover certification if required.Demonstrated ability to perform a fire crew leadership role and incident control functions. Current Senior First aid certificate and drivers licence including four-wheel driving certificate, and willingness to fly in light aircraft.Job Notes :This position includes fire fighting related activities, is very physically demanding, requiring ????? ????? activity, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling loads, bending, climbing, and driving a variety of vehicles. Applicants must meet the requirements of a specific medical assessment which is inclusive of a clearance to undertake the fitness test for fire fighting fitness roles. The applicant must pass the task based fitness assessment to a moderate level within the probationary period (12 months).The Position Holder must to obtain certification at the appropriate level prior to undertaking fire fighting/incident control duties.
